Finnich Glen, also known as The Devil's Pulpit, is a very narrow 100ft deep gorge hidden away in trees next to the A809 approx 4 miles south of Drymen and a mile west of Killearn. Surprisingly, given it's unique qualities, it only appears in a few movies but has featured more in recent years with The Eagle and the TV series Outlander having scenes filmed there.

There is a small layby on the B8054 approx 500m east of it's junction with the A809 which provides parking for a few cars. From here it is around 160m across a field to the stream and then a further couple of hundred metres to the wider eastern end of the gorge.

These pages Walk Highlands Forum and Moray Club give details of access to the glen via the far more interesting but hazardous Victorian steps at the western end plus photographs of various parts of it. Videos of the access via the old victorian steps down into the glen are on Youtube uploaded by Barry Ferguson and Edinburghglasgow plus gorge scrambling Finnich Glen by TheClanAdventures
