Glen Coe, like Glen Nevis, appears in the background of many of the movies filmed in Scotland. For a very simple reason. Both glens have spectacular scenery and mountains, but that is as far as their similarity extends. Glen Coe is bleak and mainly treeless with the busy A82 Glasgow to Fort William road running through it. Glen Nevis, by contrast, is well wooded and quieter with a dead end single track road.
