The Ellangowan Hotel in Creetown was used for the interior shots of the Green Man pub. From the A75 follow the signs for Creetown. Go along the main street until you reach a clock tower with adjacent car park. The Ellangowan Hotel is opposite the clock tower. The filming location was the hotel bar - entrance through the small door on the side of the hotel. There are some photographs on the wall of Edward Woodward.

Just along the road from the Ellangowan Hotel is Creetown's old bakery. Scenes from the movie involving surprise, surprise, a bakery were filmed here. It is now part of a self catering establishment called The Bogue run by a family called Howie. A strange co-incidence of names!!
