A location near Loch Cuithir in north east Skye appears in 47 Ronin albeit with a lot of CGI to add extra mountains behind the real ones. The real pointy mountain is
Sgurr a' Mhadaidh Ruaidh part of the Trottenish
Ridge.

A road leads off near the parking for the Lealt Waterfall next to the A855 to
Lealt from where a track runs a couple of miles to Loch Cuilthir. The loch was used in the past for
Diatomite extraction and even had it's own railway at one time to take the mineral away.
See this article in the Stornaway Gazette for information
on the history of the area..
