Glen Coe is the original Scottish highland filming location with Alfred Hitcock’s The 39 Steps filmed there in 1935 to Monty Python and the Holy Grail in 1975, followed by Highlander in 1986,, Rob Roy and Braveheart in 1995 and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban in 2004.

Of late however it seems to have fallen out of favour. Skyfall from 2012 was filmed in the adjacent Glen Etive.
