The Rocket Post (2002)

The Rocket Post is based on the true story of Gerhard Zucher and his experiments with rocket delivered mail between the western isles of Scotland during the 1930's. The Rocket Post was filmed on the islands of Harris and Taransay and should be released late 2002. Or maybe not! "£10m Hebridean rocket post film up in smoke as 'tartan turkey' nose-dives" reads the headline in the Sunday Herald newspaper of 1st December 2002.
Finally released 12th March 2007 on Region 2 DVD.
