Ring of Bright Water (1969)
|
Loosely based on the book by Gavin Maxwell, Ring of Bright Water tells the story of how Graham Merill's life changes forever the day he buys Mij the otter from a pet shop. A London flat is no place for an otter, so Merill throws in his desk job to become a writer and buys a derelict cottage on the west coast of Scotland. Soon both man and beast are at home in the wild but beautiful landscape. Ring of Bright Water was mainly filmed around Seil Island, the Firth of Lorne and Argyll.
