Cloud Atlas (2012)

Cloud Atlas, an ambitious attempt to film the best-selling novel by David Mitchell is not entirely successful but is still a stunning visual feast with it's exploration of past, present, and future and the interactions of many people played by an ensemble cast who turn up in many different roles (and sexes). Some filming took place in Scotland mainly in Edinburgh but also other places across the country.
