The access to Drummond Castle is by a signposted road from the A822 closeby Muthill near Crieff in Perthshire. Following the one way single track road through the castle estate will bring you to the car park for the gardens. On the way from the car park to the castle entrance you pass along the location where the Marquis of Montrose's troups lead by Cunningham are seen setting out in pursuit of Rob Roy (1st photo below).

After paying to enter the gardens you pass through the gateway into the castle court yard which also appeared in the movie (2nd photo). From here it's through the ornate gateway which again appeared in the movie (3rd photo) into the gardens themselves. Several other scenes were filmed in the gardens but you can find them for yourself.

There is no admission to the castle itself but entrance to the castle gardens costs £3 with reductions for children and pensioners.They are open from 1st May to 30th October from 2pm to 6pm daily (last admission 5pm). Also open Easter weekend.
