Directions |
| You can either drive or, if feeling more energetic, walk to this pleasant loch. |
| From the car park in Plockton turn left and head back up the road out of the village and continue on this road until you reach the first road on the left. |
| Follow this road past Creag nan Garadh until you reach the T junction. Take the right turning (the left goes toDuncraig Castle), and continue along the road. |
| Follow this road for a mile or so and you will pass along the side of Loch Lundie. Where you first go along the side of the loch (where the trees start by the lochside) is the spot where Hamish (and friend) are seen going for a cycle ride in "The Honourable Policeman". A hundred yards or so further on by the bend in the road is where Lachlan picks up the climbers in "A bit of an epic". |
|
| Carry on down the road to the tree covered promontory which sticks out from the roadside into the Loch which is where Hamish Macbeth and Isobel are ill met by moonlight in "Radio Lochdubh". A few yards past this on the next passing place is where Peter Peterson (Alex's publisher friend) finds that Hamish Macbeth has again kicked in the headlights on his Mercedes in "The Great Lochdubh Salt Robbery". |
