The location for Rob Roy's village was in a very boggy part of Glen Nevis. Squelching around in the filming location at the end of a long dry summer several years ago I found it hard to imagine exactly why the film makers had chosen this site. Add to this the many deep narrow water channels hidden by grass all designed to twist or break an ankle! BUT, it is a very photogenic spot.

Filming was abandoned here following some heavy rainfall and the scenes of Capercaillie's Karen Matheson singing were filmed indoors in a large barn at what is now the Perth Equestrian Centre.
